- While the kids might be on summer vacation, the adults still have to go to work. Noise carries, and it keeps people awake at night. (It also keeps young ones with early bedtimes awake.)
- Streets are for cars, sidewalks are for pedestrians. Drivers should not have to honk to get a group of 10-15 kids to move from the street.
- Remember that not everyone has kids. While some of these issues might not be a big deal to the parents, it might be a big deal to those who don't have kids. It's important to be courteous to all.
My husband (as well as others) has talked to some of the neighborhood kids about their behavior, but it's really up to the parents to take responsibility for their kids. Thanks :)

I also have the fear that the kids will dart out from behind the RVs and travel trailers that are parked on the streets. The motorist may not have time to stop. It is just an accident waiting to happen.
Lee and I have talked to Tanner. His curfiew is 10 pm.
Too many people just don't care. I like peace and quiet at night. I shouldn't have to close my windows at 10pm because of a munch of loud kids. It's called "respect".
In regards to the kids, I had gone out after 10pm and spoke with them on a couple of occasions. Each time they were very respectful and understanding of our concerns, however it was happening nightly. Since the post from Mandy about this issue, there has been quite an improvment and we would like to thank those parents for taking the time & speaking to your kids on this matter. We really like all the kids and want them to enjoy thier summer and to those who are listening, We say "Thank You" very much.
Well regarding kids on the streets. This morning I woke up and went out for my morning run and I noticed that there was some twine lying across the end of my driveway. Well I followed it back to where it was tied and someone had tied it to a water drain. It was probably strung up across the street in the middle of the night for someone to run into. I can't confirm that it was kids but one would only assume. I would hate for someone to get injured or property damaged because some kids thinks it is funny to do destructive things.
it is only an accitdent waiting to happen if you are not paying any attention to what you are doing. our kids should have the right to be outside playing where they choose to be as lond as the children and adults are paying attention!!!!!
No one said the kids don't have a right to be outside playing. However, people should also be respectful of their neighbors and take pride in their community.
For the most part, the streets have been quieter at night. Personally, I really appreciate this since I have a little one that has an early bedtime.
