Spring Is Here

Spring is finally here! Since the weather is beginning to improve, several people have been outside working on yard projects. Now is a great time to kill the moss, thatch, aerate, overseed and fertilze. Our lawns took a real beating with all the snow this year (especially on the north sides of our houses) but the grass will definitely improve with a little TLC!

If you don't have a green thumb and need some guidance, just ask someone! Feel free to post on here if you have a question or need some help. Conversely, if you are able to offer guidance, tools or even a little manual labor to a neighbor who needs it, please leave your name on here. If we all work together, we'll definitely have one of the nicest looking neighborhoods in the area!

Does anyone have any connections or know of someone they could refer to us for some cement work? We would like to pour a concrete slab for our dog kennel. Thanks!

Has anyone tried a lawn treatment service? We would like to know if there are any good ones out there. We are trying to recover not only from the snow but also from the inlflatables we had up at Christmas. Thanks!

Tim and Paige, I am getting ready to have Dave R. do some concrete work for me. We are also doing a dog run. Give him a call and tell him Juan from Lot #41 referred you to him. If you like, I am getting ready to have him pour my concrete next week and I can see if he can do both projects. His number is 253)-405-3400. Hope this helps.

I can't recommend a lawn service since I've never used one.. but I had a bunch of dead slimy grass in our front yard (from our dogs playing in the snow). I raked it good with a wire rake and fertilized with Scott's Turf Builder with iron.. also threw down some grass seed in the bare spots. This was two weeks ago and it's really perked up. We still have some bare areas but they will fill in soon, and the color is great. I love Scott's :)

We just started having a lawn service come out. Joe's Pro's. I am in the property management field and we use them at some of our high end properties. His number is (253) 435-4352.

They do great work!!

Has anyone had to deal with getting a backflow pressure test? We got a letter from Rainier View Water indicating that this needs to be done yearly. I was told it has to do with the sprinkler system stuff.

Where does Shawn and Crystal live so we can check out their lawn.

We are at lot 40. We moved in over the winter and our lawn needed work. We just had it aerated, fertilized and overseeded so it doesn't look as good as it will in a month or so.
