Where Are The Flies?

Trudy brought this up on the forum.. has anyone else noticed a decline in the fly population? I was just thinking that the other day as well. Does anyone know anything? If you do, please share!

We didn't move in here until the end of September last year, so we don't know what they were like at this time. I just thought it had been so cold they hadn't come out yet. It would be great if they stay at this level for the rest of the summer. It's very tolerable so far!

I am not aware of any action taken, but also am very happy with the reduction so far this summer.

Ps...Please remeber that Grand Fir's is a non-firework community. I am very worried this year as all the vacant lots in division 2,3 and 4 are 4ft tall and dry as kindling. I noticed some kid's already sneeking down to the vacant area by our home to light of fireworks last night.

Kurt Lewis arranged for a meeting with a legal firm in Tacoma on June 2nd, which we both attended. We discussed many options for resolving the issue. It is considered a HEALTH HAZARD. A critical issue to help solve the problem will be the number of people that have filed a complaint with the Pierce County Health Department. Please call 253-798-6440, select Option 2 and then 1.

Our house on 229th is only about 1400 feet, as the fly flies, from the site. The houses on 230th are much closer. The attorneys have pictures of the flies at our house.

The retainer fee is $5,000. Kurt and I have not signed the engagement letter. Legal action will be taken against several parties.

My husband and I continue a huge reduction in the amount of flies around our house (most noticeably on the front porch). There are a few hanging around but it's definitely tolerable. Last year was plain miserable.
